Suzanne Lane delivered to forty plus delegates, a seminar on Time Management and Assertiveness (9am-4pm). In order to ensure the content of the seminar was correct, Suzanne engaged in discussions with the client some weeks prior to delivery and in her preparation for the event, was extremely organised and professional, as evidenced by the training plan and other materials sent to me. The event itself went very smoothly and Suzanne was exceptionally well received. The delegates provided excellent feedback at the end of the day and it was clear that they had enjoyed and benefited from her presentation. The group was large and not easy to manage, especially as the subject matter was one which called for plenty of interaction and audience feedback, but Suzanne handled things very well and her success was further evidenced by the Institutes subsequent request for her to deliver a further session to them.

Suzanne ran a Kinesiology workshop for staff at Cambridge Women’s Resources Centre. We came to the workshop knowing very little about Kinesiology but Suzanne provided us with sufficient information balanced with practical demonstrations to enable us to benefit from the session. At Linton Village College we have an enrichment day for all students once a year. For year 11 (15-16 yrs) this is a stress and Health awareness day’. Suzanne Mitchell has been part of the team since its conception. Pupils attend five one hour workshops during the day. These include energy (which Suzanne runs), reflexology, Indian Head massage, Yoga, Medical health and Drama and communication.

The pupils at LVC find these workshops educational, relaxing, energising and fun. It is a particularly stressful time for them, approaching exams and they find something in the workshops that they can relate to and use or share with others.

The workshops are also good for team building and confidence as pupils work in small groups (20-25) with professionals from outside school. It has become a part of school life that year 11’s really look forward to and learn a lot from.
